Final Piece

For the large weave we went through a few different ideas, including hanging a giant weave from the ceiling, weaving into a boot, etc. Out tutor helped by finding us a very dark room where we could present, and we hung a boot found in the skip from the ceiling as the focal point of our piece. We focused on a red/black/white colour scheme, experimenting with nails, wool, thread, clothing and furniture. The outcome was very successful, in my opinion, and I learned that I love to work on large scale pieces like this. It was especially interesting to experiment with lighting in the dark room and make it interactive, allowing people to walk around.
